TANABATA

The Denver Takayama Sister City Committe invites you to join us for a celebration of TANABATA. FLYER

In Japan, Tanabata festivitals celebrate the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi. According to Japanese legend, the Milky Way separates these lovers, who are allowed to meet once a year in July.

Join us for the celebration on Saturday evening, July 20th at 7PM at the home of James Tait and Robin Dee Post in Greenwood Village. (Details sent on registration.)

Join us to celebrate this holiday:
Decorate a bamboo tree with your wishes written on strips of paper
Enjoy light Japanese food and drinks
Experience the sounds of Japanese Koto music performed by Junko Shigeta
View the moon as you take a night time stroll around our neighborhood pond.
