In order to support the purchase of children’s educational materials for the new Axum Public Library, a joint project of Ethiopia Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (ERPCV) and Denver-Axum Sister Cities has been established. DSCI member and ERPCV Gloria Curtis has made available 8 beaded necklace/earring sets with traditional Ethiopian silver crosses for a donation of $35 per set, with all proceeds going to the Children’s Corner of Axum Public Library. DSCI member Janet Lee is currently in Axum on a Fulbright scholarship at Axum University and will supervise the construction of the Children’s Corner.
