Our Nairobi Sister City Committee continues their great work with Kiva.
They recently made a donation to help fund a $500 loan to Esther. This loan will help Esther grow her business by adding bulk foodstuff.
Esther’s story:
Esther is happily married with four children. Her husband is a businessman and supports the family greatly. She runs a wholesale shop and has been doing this business for many years. She delights in selling to other retailers who buy things in bulk, and this moves her stock in masses.
She will add stock of foodstuff in bulk, which is cheaper and will give her good profit margins. This is her second loan and she pays on time.
Her dream is to educate her children and give her family a good living.
